Updated 18th January 2022, Rob Morrison

As a long time ISV partner of SUSE, Bacula Systems were pleased to be invited by SUSE to join the SLES 11 SP2 testing program. SLES is one of two main Linux distributions officially supported by Bacula Systems’ flagship data protection product; Bacula Enterprise.

Including the Linux 3.0 kernel while maintaining application compatibility is vital in order to guarantee broad adoption of this new Linux release. Together with SUSE, our R&D team worked out the technical details in a timely manner and we are excited to announce that SLES 11 SP2 will be included in the Supported Platform matrix of our next major release; Bacula Enterprise v6.
