Bacula Enterprise Administrator Training Course

The Administrator I Training Course is designed to help new or existing administrators of Bacula (Community or Enterprise edition) acquire the knowledge they need to install, configure and operate Bacula Enterprise in a production environment quickly and effectively.

This high-quality training course is held at our headquarters located in Switzerland, under the personal guidance of Kern Sibbald, CTO of Bacula Systems and leader of the Bacula Project.

After completing the course, you will be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Obtain the Bacula code
  • Build, install and configure Bacula Enterprise on your own system
  • Design and run a backup scheme
  • Configure backup jobs for disks and auto-changers
  • Diagnostic and debug problems
  • Learn to monitor day-to-day operations
  • Setup and perform restore operations

 

Course pre-requisites

To participate in this course, you are expected to have:

  • A reasonably strong knowledge of Linux
  • Some decent Systems administration skills
  • Completed the assigned reading
  • Completed the assessment form to determine back-up requirements of your own company (if applicable)

Travel Recommendations

 

Zurich and Geneva airports are both possible airports – with regular train service to Yverdon. Geneva airport is the closest to our office, about one hour by train from Yverdon.
