Position overview

As a result of our international growth, we are seeking to add an Associate IT Customer Success Engineer to provide technical IT support, help with the automation of our software testing and help our customers to be successful with our security suite.

Caring for software users is at your core and you like to offer IT solutions to others and help them to implement them. On a daily basis you will be interacting with your peers in the Customer Success Team to identify and troubleshoot issues, then to provide the most relevant responses to your colleagues and at a later stage to customers, partners and prospects. Learning new technology is your DNA and testing our products also allows you to stay on top of diverse IT solutions and Bacula Systems’ products. You also like traveling in and around Europe about twice a year for training and Company Meetings.

To ensure your success as an Associate IT Customer Success Engineer, you should have some working knowledge of Linux operating systems in a professional IT environment, the ability to learn new technologies quickly, and the ability to work in a team environment. Ultimately, a top-class Associate IT Customer Success Engineer provides valuable support to the Customer Success Team while continually improving their own support activities to customers through product technical support and, software quality and test support.

Responsibilities overview

  • Take ownership and responsibility until completion for the resolution of assigned tasks and projects in the following area:
  • Support our IT team in maintaining our internal IT environment running on GNU/Linux which is used by employees and customers
  • Software testing automation with Ansible, Python and Bash scripts for our core product and our GUI via Gitlab
  • Customers technical support on our security backup software
  • Apply our new product QA test plan, standards and procedures in close collaboration with the R&D Team.

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of experience of Linux systems administrator skills. Some Windows systems administration skills are also valued.
  • Fundamentals in scripting, git and gitlab.
  • Very good communication skills. Must be very comfortable on video and via email and chat. Our primary language is English, so your English must be good.
  • Able to empathize with peers and customers.
  • Mature and self-motivated – able to work from a home-office in a virtual and global team.
  • Proven ability to provide top-notch services. A service-oriented mindset with the willingness to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Desire to learn and grow quickly.
  • Very good lateral thinking with problem-solving skills.
