# Two New Engineering Announcements in One Week

Yes, it’s true. The announcement of the SAP HANA integration, together with a second announcement of Azure Cloud connectivity six days later, gives us some insight into Bacula System’s thriving engineering department and how its stands out in a world where so many ‘legacy’ backup and restore software solutions have a waning roadmap. This Bacula engineering department – just like its close brother, the Support Services department, stand out by virtue of being well focused and dedicated to what they do. The SAP HANA integration makes it possible for the first time, for IT departments to shift or migrate their SAP HANA data around without being constrained by a backup vendors data volume charges – or ‘data tax’. The new [Azure connectivity](/products/bacula-enterprise-data-backup-software/announcing-bacula-enterprise-edition-8-8)
 compliments the already in-place S3 and S3-IA connectivity that was part of the initial release of Bacula Enterprise 8.8. It simply means you now get an even bigger choice of public and private clouds with which to exploit Enterprise Editions’ Minimal Restore Cost (MRC) functionality. This unique feature allows you to restore only the exact data you need from the cloud, as well as other cool things such as uploading multiple buckets simultaneously, and Concurrent asynchronous upload and download of data.
