An important part of the Bacula Systems Subscription are the Enterprise Edition Certified Binaries. Binaries provided by Bacula Systems are certified builds of the Bacula Backup & Recovery Platform. Bacula strongly recommends using these binaries for trouble-free deployment of Bacula's Backup software in a mission-critical enterprise environment.

The binaries have been thoroughly tested by Bacula Systems developers on the defined Operating Systems, chip architectures, and database combinations.

Bacula Systems Enterprise Edition Certified Binaries present a number of advantages:

• We will release only certified versions that Bacula Systems recommends as being stable for professional Enterprise IT environments.
• Bacula Systems will release new binaries with selected Bacula patches applied: no need to apply patches and build yourself.
• Bacula Systems binaries are carefully tested using a well defined certification procedure.
• Bacula Systems binary packages contain state-of-the-art installation which in many cases surpasses what Linux distro's produce.
• Bacula Systems binary packages will be installed in a single /opt/bacula directory which will permit a standardization across all systems, and significant benefits for backing up Bacula itself and for recovery.
• Bacula Systems binary packages are relatively highly stable compared to industry standards. However, in the unlikely event of a bug, patches and bug fixes will be created as an urgent professional priority.
